Beiersdorf Appoints New CFO

PARIS – Dessi Temperley has been appointed chief financial officer of Beiersdorf AG, the company said on Tuesday.She will take up the role and become a member of the German group’s executive board on July 1.As cfo, Temperley succeeds Jesper Andersen, whose term concludes in June. She counts more than two decades of finance management positions at multinational companies. Since 2004, Temperley has been employed at Nestlé Group, most recently as head of investor relations.Reinhard Pöllath, chairman of the supervisory board at the Hamburg-based maker of Nivea, Eucerin and La Prairie, in a statement thanked Andersen for his “lasting contribution towards financial professionalism and efficiency. With her deep career background and rich international experience, Dessi Temperley will further strengthen a transparent finance function, make the best use of data and financial resources for the core of Beiersdorf: superior skin care for everybody.”Temperley had formerly been the regional cfo of Nestlé Purina for Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. She also worked at Cable & Wireless and Shell Bulgaria.
