Yoga for osteoporosis: Some of the Exercises better skip

Researchers at the Mayo clinic in Rochester have found that patients with osteoporosis or osteopenia can hurt yourself in Yoga easier. They identified twelve items, of which patients have reported that they have caused you discomfort or worse, mostly as a result of extreme flexion or extension of the spine. "Yoga has many benefits. It improves balance, flexibility, strength and is a good social Aktivität", Dr. Mehrsheed Sinaki, a specialist in physical medicine and Rehabilitation says. "If you, however, suffer from osteoporosis or osteopenia, you should change some of the Exercises and your disease adapt." In patients who had changed their Exercises on the recommendation of the Physicians, reduced pain, and their complaints decreased.

The researchers evaluated health data from 89 individuals who were referred because of pain, which they attributed to Yoga, from 2006 to 2018 to the Mayo Clinic. The people had different practiced long Yoga, some only Recently, others for years. You had pain in your back, neck, shoulder, hip and/or knees. On the basis of patient records, medical examinations, and imaging the injury as soft tissue, joint or bone injuries were classified.
