If managed to tear your eyes away from Emma Stone’s stunning pant suit ensemble on the Oscars red carpet yesterday, you might have noticed the understated (but totally chic) manicure she was repping.
It turns out that it was the borderline iconic (and delightfully bargain) shade of essie polish: Ballet Slippers.
“Emma is sporting a custom Louis Vuitton maroon pantsuit for this evening’s red carpet. This outfit called for a classy, glamorous nail to offset her androgynous look,” celebrity manicurist Emi Kudo told E News. “Essie’s sheer, pale pink Ballet Slippers was the picture-perfect choice, finishing with essie’s gel.setter for added gel-like shine.”
The product is a seriously popular one, with fans including the Queen and Kate Middleton. In fact, it’s rumoured that it’s the only hue that ol’ Lizzy has worn in 28 years.
