Some people experience a twitching feeling in one or both eyes from time to time. It’s pretty common, yet scientists don’t know the exact reason why it happens. It may be caused by too much caffeine, not enough sleep, and possibly stress. In rare cases, twitching can be caused by a medical condition. If your eye twitches, try cutting back on the amount of caffeine you consume, get enough rest, and try to lower your stress. If your eye continues to twitch, or if your face is also affected, make an appointment with your primary care provider (PCP) and get checked.
