If we had a dollar for every unhealthy celeb-spruiked diet and workout regime out there, well, we’d have enough dosh to quit our jobs and move to the Maldives tomorrow. But Margot Robbie’s approach to getting in shape is very, very different.
You see, instead of sacrificing her fave foods and slogging it out at the gym for hours on end, she prefers a more balanced approach when prepping for a movie role.
In an interview with Emirates Woman, the 28-year-old said she places equal weight on eating well and training hard and cuts back on her intake of saturated fats, fast food, sugary drinks and chocolate. But, (coz human,) she still allows herself a few indulgences.
“I’m not good at doing moderation,” she said. “I get miserable if I don’t eat. I can’t just have a salad every day and a half a glass of wine every second day. I can’t do it.” Same.
So, what does her average day on a plate look like, you ask? According to the publication, it involves porridge, berries and a kale and apple smoothie for brekkie, lemon chicken and brown rice for lunch and fish (usually tuna) and sweet potato for tea.
And when it comes to getting a sweat on, Margot loves intense cardio workouts and often combines running with ice hockey training. Turns out the sport is epic for aerobic fitness and helps create lean, long muscles.
Ah, to spend a day in the life.
