While we’re still mourning the loss of Sarah Jessica Parker infamous mole (RIP, perfect imperfection,) Hollywood has claimed yet another icon of our time. Dakota Johnson made an appearance at The Peanut Butter Falcon premiere during the week, sans her signature gapped-tooth smile – the very same she once boasted could fit a credit card and $1,100 in cash.

Needless to say, The Fifty Shades Of Grey star’s fans have strong feelings on the matter:
Given that braces and veneers are pretty darn obvious, it’s likely that the 29-year-old’s dental work was something very subtle.
“It’s definitely not veneers, because her original teeth look like they are the same size, shape, and colour,” Dr Victoria Veytsman, a cosmetic dentist, told Refinery29. “It was likely a short course of Invisalign treatment.”
On the other hand, Dr Matt Nejad suggested that Dakota’s results could be from bonding – a non-invasive procedure which involves using tooth-coloured resin material that’s moulded to look as similar as possible to the patient’s original pegs.
Whatever the case – or her reasoning for closing the gap – there’s no denying the girl looks good. Keep doing you, Dakota!
