Eric Ducournau Named Chief Executive Officer of the Pierre Fabre Group

The Pierre Fabre Group has appointed Eric Ducournau as chief executive officer. Ducournau will take over the role from Bertrand Parmentier, who is retiring from the position after five years. Ducournau will assume the role on July 2.The appointment was decided by the Pierre Fabre Group’s holding company, Pierre Fabre Participations, which is chaired by Pierre-Yves Revol.“ has a firm grasp of all areas of business and perfect knowledge of company culture and has headed our main activity for the past six years,” Revol said. “He has the skills and the time needed to develop and implement the strategy that will allow continued growth in pharmaceuticals, consumer health care and dermo-cosmetics over the next decade.”Prior to the appointment, Ducournau had served as ceo of the Pierre Fabre Group’s dermo-cosmetics since 2012 and has been with the company since 2000. He served as president from 2000 to 2005 and was named group secretary general from 2006 to 2011. In 2011, he was appointed group deputy managing director.The Pierre Fabre Group is the second largest private French pharmaceutical group and second largest dermo-cosmetics lab in the world. Its portfolio of brands includes Eau Thermale Avène, Klorane, René Furterer and Ducray, among others, that are sold over-the-counter at pharmacies globally. In 2017, the group generated more than 2.3 billion euros with 62 percent of revenue coming from international business.
