This Is the First Thing Guys Notice About Women

Unless you’re on the receiving end of a cheesy pickup line, you’re probably pretty clueless about what draws a dude over to talk to you.

And while you could probably take a wild guess as to what they’re checking out when you walk past on the street, we had to know for sure.

That’s why we asked more than 6,000 Men’s Health Twitter followers where their eyes go when they first spot you. And the winner might actually surprise you.

It’s your face! Thirty-eight percent of gents confessed that this is the first thing they notice about you. Aw!

That being said, plenty of dudes still said your body was their eyeballs’ M.O. Thirty-four percent of men said your butt was numero uno, followed by boobs (18 percent), then legs (10 percent). That’s 62 percent of guys honing in on your goods before you even say hi. Womp.

Before you roll your eyes, a similar survey, reported on by Men’s Health, found that ladies ogle a guy’s body, too. On the beach, the first spot we check out is his abs, followed by his face, then arms—but never his package. Interesting, right? But when it comes to a regular Joe on the street, we’re mostly interested in his eyes, then his smile, followed by his height, and hands. So yeah, guys are still way creepier.

Naturally, we weren’t satisfied just knowing where they were looking. We had to know why.

Here are some riveting insights:

“Boobs. Cuz I like Boobs.” (sic)
“Really depends if she is coming or going. If she is going, the derier (sic) is the first thing. But if coming towards me, it is her face and eyes.”

“Face and breasts simultaneously.” (That must take some practice?)

“Her butt. It gives me an idea if she likes to work out or not.” Groan.

“Face and smile. I’m a sucker for a pretty face.”

“Her legs. They’re easy to look at without drawing attention to yourself.” Hm. Strategic.

And here are some super rando other areas guys check out:

“Feet. It tells if she really cares for her hygiene”

“Hair and hair color. It says a lot about what a girl wants others to think of her.” Does it?

“Her outfit. If it’s different from what’s around her, it pulls her out of a crowd.”

“Ring finger to see if she is taken.”

“Whether her jeans are tight around her crotch, then her smile, then eyes.” What?!?

So there you have it.
