Turia Pitt and her partner Michael Hoskin have announced the gender of their first child – a boy!
The 29-year-old posted an adorable video on Instagram of the gender reveal in which the couple pop a black balloon, showering them both with blue streamers.
The pair are clearly ecstatic with the news, captioning the post: “Who’s frothing more?!”
The former mining engineer and bushfire survivor announced she is expecting her first child on 60 Minutes last month.
She due to give birth to her first child in December, revealing to the program that she discovered she was expecting a few days before she was due to fly to Mt Everest and told Hoskin while he was brushing his teeth.
“I just walked in and I left the pregnancy stick there,” she said.
Turia also told 60 Minutes that she is confident her longtime partner Michael will make a brilliant father.
“He had to look after me for years, and he was so patient, so caring. I think those qualities, especially in a parent, are really desirable.”
